Oyster Bay is a very affluent area of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It is known for its attractive beaches.
More commonly referred to by the name "Oysterbay" as one word, the geographical area falling into its jurisdiction is bound between the Indian Ocean to the east, Mawenzi Road to the North, Ali Hassan Mwinyi to the south and Ali bin Said Road to the West. Although a number of institutions are named Oysterbay, including a police station, a hospital and a school, the centre of Oysterbay is the Oysterbay Shopping Centre where there are a number of businesses and, increasingly, works of art. The now popular Tanzanian Tingatinga art has its home there.
